"I'm Gonna be a ..."

That's right, Carter is going to be a Big Brother. I am due January 12, 2010. And to answer some questions proactively:

1. I am 12 weeks along as of yesterday.
2. Yes, I have been quite sick. Not to the extreme that I've needed to be drugged up like I was with Carter, but having the "flu" 24/7 is NO FUN!! And gets quite tiring.
3. We tried for about 1 1/2 years and did end up using a fertility drug, Fermera. It was a miracle worker and was successful the first month. Thank Heavens for modern day medicine. And even though it took us a while to get pregnant, as with Carter I am so glad that it didn't happen until now. The timing will be great in that we will only have a few months left living in Pennsylvania before we move to KC and live close to family.

We are thrilled to have this next little one come into our family. I am nervous about having two and trying to work around two schedules, but I keep telling myself millions of women do this everyday so I will be able to as well.

I have to leave a comment here too because I am super excited! And Carter is too cute. He is going to be a studly big brother. 12 weeks! Hopefully you start feeling better soon. Only a few more weeks before we know if Carter is right about getting a baby boy. I'm on pins and needles!

Congrats! That's awesome. I too hope that you start feeling better. It's a lot harder being sick when you still have to appear happy for your little one, huh? But I'm doubley excited to find out you guys are moving back to KC!! Woo hoo! Maybe I'll actually get to meet Carter and baby Suprise in person!

YAY YAY YAY!!! I am so excited for you guys!! Honestly, I have been checking your blog lately to see if there was "ANY" news! And don't worry about 2...it's way easier than you think it is going to be. I'm worried about 3, I hear that is the hardest (but I think they say that about every new one). Sorry you have been so sick (TOTALLY HATE THAT PART). I hope it ends sooner than later ;)

Yeah!!!! I am sooo excited for you. I am sorry you are sick again. Yuck! At least you don't have to clock out for your 5 minute snack breaks. Ugh. I have the biggest smile on my face. I am so happy for you!

Congrats!! I hope you start to feel better soon. You are going to love watching Carter interact with his sibling. There is nothing quite as rewarding as seeing their bond grow. You'll do great with two. My friend gave me the best advice when I had my second: "Lower your expectations for each day. Don't plan on being able to get as much done as you used to, and then you won't be disappointed." Best of luck! We're expecting #4, but I'm not as far along as you, so I have some hard weeks ahead of me. =) Fun!

Holy cow, I'm psychic. No joke, when I saw that you had a new post, I thought, "I bet it's a baby announcement." I'm so smart. Congrats, Amber!!! That is so wonderful!!! I'm so glad the fertility drugs did the job. I can't wait to hear what you're having. We get to be preggo together! I only wish I could see your belly in person :(

Hi Amber! I found your blog through Amanda's. Congratulations on your soon-to-be new addition! I am sure you are counting down the days until Residency is over - I am! We cannot wait to go back south to North Carolina. Pittsburgh has been fun and who wouldn't love all this great food here! :) Glad to reconnect! Tell Matt hello.
