We're Back!

Carter, Matt and I made it home a week ago today from vacation, barely!! Carter and I were gone about 5 weeks and Matt met up with us at the end for a week. Carter got sick with a nasty stomach flu the Sunday before we left and Matt and I came down with it the night before and were up all night throwing up amongst other things and had to leave the house with a bucket to catch our flights the very next morning. Not only that but Matt and I were on separate flights and because I had the direct flight I took Carter with me. So when I had to throw up on the plane the nice flight attendant took Carter while I went into the bathroom to do my thing. It was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. Carter has just now turned the corner and looking like he is getting better. He didn’t eat any solid foods for about 10 days and lost at least 2 pounds. Needless to say I was an emotional wreck from all the worrying, crying and lack of sleep. Also, sorry to my family, last I heard every single person except for two got the same bad deal. Isn’t it so nice to get the family together?

Good grief. So sorry to hear about your travels/sickness, that's aweful. Thanks for your post on the nice guy at the airport though - I needed to read something like that today.

Oh my gosh, that sounds SO awful, Amber! Seriously awful. I'm glad you guys did make it home in one piece, though. I'm sure it feels good to be home. What a yucky way to end the trip! And thank heavens for the man who helped you. Isn't it amazing how subtle miracles can be sometimes? Hope you continue to feel better!

That doesn't even sound fun or funny! It sounds terribly sad infact. Good thing you had good people to help you out! Hope things keep getting better!

What an experience! All 4 of us in our family got the stomach flu and I thought that was bad, but we were atleast at home! It must have been miserable. I'm so sorry. Great story about the guy who helped you out. God answers prayers! To answer your question, we don't have a name picked out yet, so if you have any suggestions, we need it! My sister Rosalyn had a baby yesterday, and it was supposed to be a girl, but they were surprised with a boy! She is scrambling for a boy name as well. Take care and I hope you all feel better really soon.
